The Parent Collective Prenatal & Parenting Online Course: This bundle of sessions provides you all you need to know to survive and thrive labor through to caring for your newborn. You will learn: Session 1: What to expect in the late stages of pregnancy, what happens at the hospital and the stages of labor, inductions and c-sections Session 2: Relaxation techniques to help you through the early stages of labor, options for pain management and delivery Session 3: Breastfeeding and bottle feeding information and advice, including latching on, pumping, milk storage, getting on a feeding schedule, and how to manage problems that may arise Session 4: New baby care including immediate appearance and procedures, diapering, swaddling, sponge bathing, burping and soothing, communication from your baby, sleep tips, postpartum transition and returning to work.
This session focuses on what to expect in the late stages of pregnancy, key terms you should understand to be prepared for labor and delivery, what to expect at the hospital, the stages of labor, inductions and c-sections. There is also a video about what to pack in your hospital bag with some useful tips about what you need and more importantly, what you don't need.
This session provides you with an overview of relaxation tools including breathing, massage, hydrotherapy and position changes as well as pain management like Gas & Air and Epidurals. This session also covers delivery, tears and repairs and the rare emergent measures for a vaginal delivery.
This session covers all you need to know to feed your baby and how to manage problems if they arise. Learn about your first feeding, the key to a good latch, tips for breastfeeding and different position demonstrations, how to pump and when to start, how to bottle feed (whether formula or pumped breastmilk) and manage time away from your baby and finally maternal diet when breastfeeding.
This session covers the exciting new world of having a baby and provides practical tips to help you thrive during the transition. You will learn about what to expect right after your baby is born both in appearance and procedures that he or she will undergo. We offer tips for soothing baby as well as helping you to understand their means of communication. Since every new parent is concerned about sleep, we outline what to expect on that front as well as helping you to simplify your life in this phase and manage the postpartum transition. And finally we provide advice for helping you find the best pediatrician for your family. This session also includes demos for diapering, swaddling, burping and bathing your baby in those early days so you can be a pro when the big day arrives! This is where it gets fun!!
